Ireland Sets Christmas Jumper World Record

Forget the 12 days of Christmas - Dublin set a world record with 583 Christmas jumpers!

On Sunday, 4th December, on Dublin's South King Street, Ireland set the world record for the biggest gathering of Christmas jumper wearers on what was aptly named, 'Geansai Nollaig Day'. The grand total of cheesy Christmas jumper wearers was an impressive 583, which festive fashion lovers the world over will now have to beat to knock Ireland off the leader board.

The inaugural Geansai Nollaig Day was set up by the Dublin City Business Improvement District to raise much-needed funds for children's charity, Barretstown, and to inject some seasonal humour into the Christmas countdown in the capital.
